On The Move Luncheon

During the Greater Northwest Chapter's recent On the Move Luncheon, Craig Robinson, keynote speaker and First Lady Michelle Obama's brother, inspired the audience by sharing his family's story of life with MS. Robinson regaled the 700 attendees with family anecdotes ranging from humorous tales of the childish mischief he and his sister would cause, to heartfelt stories about how his father, who lived with MS, and mother taught, challenged and encouraged him throughout his life.

“People ask me all the time, what the heck did your parents do, and they look at Michelle
and they look and me. And I tell them, my parents never held us back. They never let MS
hold us back.”

The $350,000 raised at this year's Luncheon will support innovative programs and services designed to meet the individual needs of people living with MS and their families and will also help fund cutting-edge research that boldly pursues every promising avenue to STOP MS in its tracks, RESTORE what's been lost, and END MS forever.

Thank you to our Luncheon table captains, volunteers, sponsors, and speakers for making this event possible and building connections that continue to move us closer to a world free of multiple sclerosis.

The date for the 2015 On the Move Luncheon will be announced early next year.
