On the Move Luncheon

Thank you to everyone who attended the 2015 On the Move Luncheon, we raised a record-breaking $437,000!

This year’s On the Move Luncheon was a roaring success with a record-breaking number of attendees and donations to help people affected by MS live their best lives. Thank you to the nearly 1,000 attendees who raised an incredible $437,000! This year’s sponsors also took their support to the next level, covering the entire cost of the event so 100% of donations made at the Luncheon go directly towards supporting innovative programs and services, as well as funding cutting-edge research that boldly pursues every promising avenue to STOP MS in its tracks, RESTORE what has been lost, and END MS forever.

We had a great presentation up on the stage this year led by Seattle’s own Dennis Bounds of King 5 News.

  • Bill Condon, a great supporter of the Luncheon and the Chapter, received the Luncheon Leadership Award.
  • Video featuring Lyn Laielli, Gil Greenman and Society Scholarship Recipient Jami Jo Libolt. Watch the video.
  • Board member, Gil Greenman, shared the story of how he was diagnosed with MS in 1994 at the height of his career as a lawyer in Washington D.C., assuring the audience that, while life has been a struggle at times, he is a fortunate man with MS. Read more about Gil’s story on his blog, http://afortunatemanwithms.com/.
  • Keynote speaker, “The Professor” John Clayton, senior NFL writer and commentator topped off the hour by relating how MS has affected his life as a care partner for his wife Pat, who lives with MS, while also providing a few inside glimpses of Seahawks training sessions and highlighting exciting moments in his career.

Thank you to our Luncheon table captains, volunteers, sponsors, speakers, and Co-Chairs Brian and Chelle Chase and Scott and Michelle Ventoza for making this event possible and building the connections that continue to move us closer to a world free of multiple sclerosis.

The date for the 2016 On the Move Luncheon will be announced early next year.
